Mayor Joe Schember says the City of Erie is “ready to go” in preparation for potential snowfall over the coming days.

Schember mentioned that there are several non-profits in the area that will accommodate individuals without housing during the frigid outdoor temperatures.
He also said the city's trucks and plows are prepared to go to work if necessary. They also plan to bring back the odd-even parking on weekends if winter storms require it. Activating it allows easier passage for trucks and snow plows that wouldn't be able to plow streets if cars are parked on both sides.

It also “avoids the snow packing up and getting icy,” Schember said. “It was very successful last winter when we did it and we're going to ask people to comply with that again this winter."
