McDonald's Money Helps Local Non-Profits
Area McDonald's restaurants today giving a financial helping hand to local charities.
The restaurants donating more than $11,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The money coming from the recent sale of slushies.
Ten cents from each purchase going to local non-profits.
And soon, the restaurants will launch another campaign to raise more money.
Jen Fails, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Erie said, "Coming up in the next couple of months, we are going to roundup for RMHC whenever you make a purchase allows you to round up to the nearest dollar and all of that money gets donated to RMHC of Erie."
Over the years, donations from McDonald's have helped many local organizations including the Shriners Hospital, Saint Vincent Hospital and the Presque Isle Partnership.
