The Erie VA Medical Center kicked off Veterans Day weekend with the ribbon cutting of a new 22 bed Community Living Center.

The living center is a state of the art environment, that is built to be very "home like". All 22 veterans will have have their own private room, living space, and personal bathrooms. There is also a large bistro area where the residents can enjoy coffee and watch TV together.
The original facility was built back in 1949.

The Medical Center Director, John Gennaro, says his favorite part was getting the veterans input and knowing this building is accommodating to them and how they would like it.
