People around Erie are getting in the holiday spirit with the Erie Philharmonic's annual Holiday Tour of Homes.

The two day event features eight professionally decorated homes to tour.

Several home owners have graciously offered their homes for the tour.  East host works with a professional decorator to make the home a showplace of decorating ideas for the upcoming holiday season.

Lisa Herring, Director of Marketing and Development for the Erie Philharmonic described what those taking the tour will see.  "Beautiful trees, and all kinds of mantles that are decorated, outdoors and inside, candles, lights -- everything you think of when you think of decorating your home for the holidays," Herring said.  "And we use it as a way to fund raise for the Erie Philharmonic's education and outreach programs, they're nationally recognized and because of events like these we're able to continue the programs in the community," she added.

Guests along the tour are entertained by the music of the Erie Philharmonic Chorus and Jr. Philharmonic along the way.

The Watson Curtze Mansion at the Hagen History Center is on the tour again this year.

The Holiday Tour of Homes continues Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m.  If you need to purchase tickets, they are available at the Watson Curtze Mansion.
