A unique store featuring toys, infant and women's clothing has been a busy place since opening this summer in the West Erie Plaza.

Owner Maria Wells has battled serious health issues for years, but that has not stopped her from running Mama Mia's BOWtique.

It is a dream come true.

Wells said, "It makes me feel so much worth. It makes me want to get out of bed in the morning."

The store features a wide range of items, primarily clothing and toys.

Most of the merchandise is not available in other stories.

The clothing for moms and moms to be.

Wells said, "We like to say we are dressing women for every phase, both before baby, during pregnancy and after."

The toys are not the common, mass-produced variety.

They are focused on improved learning.

Wells said, "We truly are teachers that are choosing every style item in the store based on what we feel is educationally sound."

Loyal customers love the variety and uniqueness of the store.

Stephanie Fedorcak-Shirgaokad said, "We like the good quality clothes. We like sparkles and we like unique stuff."
