Mercyhurst and Robert Morris were set to face-off for the first time this season. However, an issue with a light above the ice caused a postponement of the AIC showdown.

A protective grate that covers the light above the ice from getting hit by a puck was loose and hanging down.

The Erie Fire Department, who was set to be honored before the game, worked to fix the issue.

Officials for the league postponed the contest due to safety concerns for players and referees.

Tonight's game against Robert Morris has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 14th at 7:05.

All tickets purchased for tonight's game will be honored for the new date in January.

Mercyhurst now travels to Robert Morris Saturday to finish the home-and-home series. Puck drop will be 7:05.
