Early Morning Fire Damages East Erie Home
A family safely escaped after a fire broke out in an east Erie home Sunday morning.
It was reported in the 100 block of E. 29th St. around 7 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the 2.5 story home.
The first floor suffered heavy damage.
A firefighter suffered a minor burn but was treated at the scene.
The Red Cross is currently helping the family because the home is uninhabitable at this time.
