PSB Baseball Players Go Bald For Babies
Members of the Penn State Behrend Baseball Team are going bald for babies. The hair on their heads and face that they've been growing for a while was shaved off, on Tuesday.
The athletes have been raising money for this effort, which benefits "Grady's Decision, a non-profit which started eleven years ago, following the death of a premature twin, named Grady.
Grady's dad, a former Behrend baseball player and coach, started the group, in name of his son.
Ryan Smith says, "Our organization provides families that comfort, to let them know they're not alone in this process, and that everything they're experiencing and everything they're feeling is normal and its ok to share they're experiences with somebody, especially someone's that's been through it."
The Penn State Behrend baseball players raised money around campus for Grady's Decision, which will be giving gifts and gift cards to families that have premature babies born, or those dealing with special needs for the holiday season.
