Pennsylvania State Police made six DUI arrests at a checkpoint set up on the Bayfront Connector in the City of Erie Friday night.

Out of 94 drivers contacted, five were taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol, and one was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

Seven other traffic citations, as well as one warning, were also issued.

Roving patrols were also used in conjunction with the checkpoint on the roadway, which is also identified as State Route 290.
