There was plenty of pomp and circumstance at Edinboro University Saturday as the school awarded over 450 degrees during its fall graduation.

In his first commencement ceremony as president, Dr. Guiyou Huang told the students, "Commencement is the most important day in the life of a university community, an ending to the hours spent studying, cramming for exams and finishing papers.  But it is also a beginning.

In all 257 students received bachelor's and associate degrees.  Another 195 students received graduate degrees.

Lucas Hershelman, a Saegertown native was the student commencement speaker.
