The JMC Ice Arena is now the Flo Fabrizio Ice Center at the Erie Zoo.

The name is in honor of the late Pennsylvania Representative Florindo Fabrizio. The skating rink and ice center reopens for open skating on Saturday, after being worked on for several months thanks to a $2 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grants.

To commemorate the first day of opening, the rink is offering one dollar skating rentals and entry to the rink.

The Department of Community and Economic Development helped write the grant along with the City of Erie that sponsored it to the Erie Zoological Society.
