Former Treasurer Charged for Stealing from Lake City Fire Company's Relief Association
The former treasurer of the Lake City Fire Company's Relief Association was arrested Friday for stealing thousands of dollars from the organization's bank account.
Phillip J. Blose, 35, of Lake City, was arraigned on felony charges of theft, receiving stolen property, access device fraud and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities.
Investigators said Blose took more than $26,000 from the Relief Association's bank account using ATMs from April 18, 2019, until Jan. 6, 2020.
Blose was released on $25,000 unsecured bond. He is scheduled to appear before a district judge for his preliminary hearing Jan. 21.
