Shoe Fly Erie is a "sit and fit" shoe store, featuring a wide variety of styles and brands, and a team of more than a dozen well-trained employees.

It has been a fixture on upper Peach Street for many years.

The co-managers say the store is all about helping customers find the right shoe.

Manager & Certified Pedorthist Traci Maley said, "We can service children, get your first time walkers, all the way up to the elderly."

Manager & Certified Pedorthist Mike Hanlin said, "Here we are going to talk with you, find out what your needs are, what you are going to use the shoe for and find the proper shoe for you."

That means listening to customers, properly measuring their feet and having a large inventory to help people who have a hard time fitting into regular sizes.

Maley said, "Our inventory houses anywhere from narrow to extra wide to extra depth."

The store even has a special machine to carefully analyze a customer's feet. looking for pressure points and other problems.

The personal service and big selection helps draw customers from long distances to the Peach Street location.

Maley said,"They are coming from everywhere, Ohio, New York and all over Pennsylvania."
