AS LIFE STARTS TO LOOK AND FEEL MORE NORMAL GOING INTO THE GREEN PHASE THIS FRIDAY, DENTISTS IN ERIE COUNTY SAY THEIR LIVES HAVEN'T CHANGED. Doctor Steve Iszkula is the orthodontist and owner of Iszkula orthodontics and says he listens to what the state tells him.

"The color doesn't dictate what we do, we get ours directly from the department of health. First they opened us up with no arousal, and now they've said now we're able to do business as normal as long as we have the proper PPE and follow all the OSHA, CDC and Pennsylvania guidelines," says Dr. Iszkula.

BUSINESS AS USUAL FOR DOCTOR Steve Iszkula and his staff.  HE SAYS THEY'RE FULLY PREPARED WITH THE GUIDELINES PUT IN PLACE BY THE Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control.

"The biggest part we're trying to make sure we're up to date on the latest guidelines to keep my staff safe, to keep the patients safe, to keep us all safe from each other," says Dr. Iszkula.

MAINTAINING SIX FEET DISTANCE WHILE IN SOMEONES MOUTH CAN BE CHALLENGING - THAT'S WHY THEY ARE LIMITING THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE ABLE TO GO IN THE OFFICE.

"We're making some changes, we're taking people temperatures, we're making family members stay in the car to give more distancing, we've moved our chairs apart. we're definitely seeing fewer patients each day but other than that it's starting to feel more like business as usual," says Dr. Iszkula.

He wants to remind everyone that going to the dentist or orthodontist is safe and his staff is doing everything they can to ensure patients stay safe. If you feel sick or have a fever, stay home and reschedule.
