Presque Isle Downs and Casino will reopen Friday at noon.
All guests and staff will be required to wear masks and will have their temperature checked at the door, according to the casino.
Only the main, south, and north entrances will be open for guests to use.
The casino will open half its slot machines and half its table games to maintain social distancing.
Horse racing operations will resume July 27 without spectators.
Casino restaurants will be subject to some changes, including a limited menu for Churchill's Bourbon and Brew.

Q. When will Presque Isle Downs Casino reopen?
A. We will open at 12pm on Friday, June 26, 2020
Q. What are your new hours of operation?
A. Our operational hours will resume as normal 24/7.
Q. What is your entrance policy?
A. All Guests and Team Members are required to wear a mask or facial covering at all times. Guests may only temporarily remove their mask when eating, drinking, or smoking (in designated smoking areas), and strongly encourage washing their hands immediately after.
Q. Will our temperatures be taken upon arrival?
A. Yes, we are taking the temperature of all Guests and Team Members before entering the building. Any Guest or Team Member with a temperature of 100.0 F or higher will not be allowed into our building. Anyone exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 (such as coughing, chills, and shortness of breath) after entering may be asked to leave.
Q. What entrances do we use?
A. With the new temperature check for all of our guests, we have limited the points of entry to the South, North and Main Entrances only. The rear entrance near the buffet and the downstairs Simulcast Area entrances are closed. Entrance to the facility is limited to 21 years and older. No one under 21 is permitted on the property of Presque Isle Downs & Casino.
Q. With the Simulcast entrances closed, where can I place Simulcast wagers and bet on the horses?
A. The Mutuels desk on the second floor, located inside of Churhill’s Bourbon and Brew, will be available to take your wagers and bets!
Q. What about my Free Play Offers?
A. In order to maintain a clean and safe gaming experience with adequate social distancing, new Free Play offers will be sent out over the next few weeks based on your most recent play. If you have any questions specifically about your account, please visit Guest Services.
Q. What about Promotions, Drawings, Giveaways, Senior Day, etc.?
A. All promotions, except our New Member, Birthday, Anniversary and Email Bonus promotions, have been temporarily suspended to help maintain a clean and safe gaming experience with adequate social distancing.
Q. How many slots will you have available?
A. We will have 50% of our slot machines available once we reopen to ensure that we are able to maintain proper social distancing between guests.
Q. How many table games will you have available?
A. We will have up to 50% of the table games open including the hybrid games.
Q. When will live racing resume?
A. *THIS IS TENTATIVE INFORMATION AND NOT YET APPROVED* We are planning to open the backside on July 8th. Racing operations will resume spectatorless on July 27 through October 22, 2020 with a 4:45pm Post Time. Race days will be slated for Monday through Wednesday with Thursdays being added at a later date which has yet to be determined.
Q. Will I be able to play live poker once you open?
A. We are not permitted to open our poker room during this phase of our reopening.
Q. Will the BetAmerica Sportsbook be open?
A. Yes, every other seat has been removed inside the Sportsbook. There will be 39 out of the 50 betting kiosks located safely throughout the casino.
Q. What should I do with my BetAmerica sports wagering tickets made prior to closure on cancelled or postponed games?
A. Each event has been handled a little differently. Some tickets have been refunded whilw others are still valid but need to wait until the event was completed. Please call us at 866-ERIE-FUN and ask for the BetAmerica ticket redemptions and they will be happy to determine the answer for you.
Q. What will happen to my players club Tier Status Points?
A. We are postponing Tier downgrades until January 1, 2021. Your Players Club Tier Status Points will not expire or change during our temporary closing or reopening.
Q. Will my Points or VIP Comp Dollars expire?
A. No. If any available Points or VIP Comp Dollar balances you had as of our closure date expired during our closure, they are now available. Visit Guest Services for assistance.
Q. What will happen to my birthday and wedding anniversary promotion?
A. Qualifying guests have this promotion available to them for up to 30 days after re-opening. This also includes birthdays from March, April, May and June 2020 that were not redeemed prior to tour temporary closing. As before, please visit the kiosk to redeem. Disinfecting wipes have been placed near the kiosk units to use prior to and following transactions.
Q. Are all your restaurants open?
A. To comply with State and local guidelines, we’ve made the following changes to dining at Presque Isle Downs:
a. The Backstretch Buffet will remain closed at this time.
b. LBV Steakhouse will remain closed.
c. Churchill’s Bourbon & Brew will open daily with a scaled back menu from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm.
d. The INCafe will be open 24/7 featuring self-service vending machines which will accept cash, credit, and debit cards.
Q. Will Valet be open?
A. To comply with State and local guidelines, Valet service has been temporarily suspended.
Q. Are wheelchairs and scooters still available?
A. Wheelchairs will be available on a first come, first serve basis through Security at each entrance. Scooters will not be available during this time.
Q. Will lottery ticket sales be available?
A. Lottery ticket sales and ticket cashing will be available.
Q. What about the Smoking Policy? Has it changed?
A. Guests may only temporarily remove their mask when eating, drinking, or smoking (in designated smoking areas) and strongly encourage washing their hands immediately following. You will not be able to smoke at the table games because of the mandatory mask requirement in that area.
Q. Will I still be able to get a self-service beverage?
A. No, for the health and safety of all our guests, Beverage Row has been removed until further notice. Complimentary coffee, tea, and cocoa are available at The Hub Center Bar. Soft drinks and bottled water are available for $1.
Q. Will bars will be open during the re-opening?
A. The Hub Center Bar will be open from 10am to 1am. Bar 90 will open from 4pm to 1am with longer hours on Fridays and Saturdays based upon demand.
Q. Will there still be bands on property?
A. To comply with current guidelines, entertainment at Presque Isle Downs has been suspended.
Q. What additional safety measures have been taken?
A. The following changes have been implemented outside of what was listed above:
1. Masks that cover the nose and mouth or full-face shields that extend beyond the chin are required for entry. We will provide a mask should you not have one. We have a No Mask No Entry policy in effect.
2. We have added mounted hand sanitizer stations, hand wipes, pedestal sanitizers, and slot and kiosk wipes through the casino floor for easy access.
3. Shields have been played throughout the casino floor and at high volume guest areas such as Guest Services and the Host Desk to provide additional safety measures.
4. Disposable gloves will be available for our guests and team members.
5. Elevators are restricted to two people at a time.
6. The INCafe will feature vending machines.
7. Shuttle buses, poker, and valet will not be operational during the initial opening phase.
8. Cleaning and disinfecting all areas of the property remain our #1 focus. An extensive training program on Federal, State, and Local Guidelines has been establish for all returning team members.
9. Signs encouraging social distancing, how to wear and remove a mask, how to wear and remove gloves, how to stop the spread of germs, and properly wash hands have been placed throughout the building.Please do not visit if you have a fever, if you are not feeling well, have recently traveled outside the U.S., or have had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
