State Police Identify Wanted Suspect Still on the Run After Fleeing from Troopers in Warren County

Pennsylvania State Police have identified the wanted suspect who fled from police Tuesday evening in Warren County and is still on the run.
The incident started when troopers from the Corry and Warren barracks tried to serve a felony warrant on Daniel W. Heidler, 35, of Columbus, Pa., in Freehold Township around 5:34 p.m.
They spotted Heidler driving a vehicle, and he led them on a pursuit that took State Police to Chautauqua County, N.Y., where he crashed the vehicle in a ditch at Kortwright Rd. and Niobe Rd. in the Town of Harmony, according to State Police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office.
Heidler ran into the woods, and law enforcement from Warren and Chautauqua County started a search, but they could not find him, investigators said.
Police served a search warrant on a residence/camper in Freehold Township, where investigators said they believed a gun Heidler possessed was being kept. The gun is related to a previously reported attempted homicide incident, and Heidler is not permitted to possess a firearm, which is why the felony warrant was issued, according to State Police.
Troopers also found items in the residence/camper on the property used to make methamphetamine, and investigators acquired a separate search warrant for it.
Clandestine Laboratory Response Team (CLRT) was called to the scene and seized an expended one-pot lab, a gas generator, items used to make meth, meth oil and paraphernalia used to make the drug.
State Police have since obtained a new arrest warrant for Heidler on charges for persons not to possess a firearm.
Anyone with information on Heidler's whereabouts is asked to call State Police in Warren at 814-728-3600.
