Andora's Bubble Tea received an anonymous letter in the mail encouraging them to take down a gay pride flag hanging in the businesses window.

One of the reasons listed in the letter was that controversial statements will steer away customers. Owner Andy Steinmetz says he doesn't think the flag is controversial and interestingly they have received more business than ever after receiving the letter.

"We don't even think it's a controversial stance," said Steinmetz. "In June you put up the Pride flag because that's Pride Month. We're just supporting our customers, our staff, anybody who's just living their life and love is love. One of our missions is to be in Downtown Erie and be an inclusive place."

The letter is now posted inside the shop surrounded by notes from customers thanking the business for supporting the LGBT+ community.

In response, Andora's Bubble Tea donated an entire day of sales to the North West PA pride alliance. The bubble tea shop will support the charity again when they host a drag queen tea party on July 29th.
