The average price of gasoline across western Pennsylvania decreased by a penny this week to $2.433 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s gas price report.

The trend downward continues an overall national decline in gas prices.

Demand for gasoline in the U.S. due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, as well as healthy supply levels, will likely continue to push gas prices lower. Hurricane Isaias is not expected to affect gas prices.

Today’s national average held steady $2.18 per gallon, the same price as one month ago, but it is still significantly cheaper – about 53 cents – than a year ago.
