With spending down during the pandemic, you might think this would be the time to score a deal on a used car. But it turns out, the opposite is true.
Nationwide, there's a strong demand for used cars, which is driving up the price.
That means, if you need to buy a car, it's important to do your homework and make sure you get a good deal.
Prices are up, so you need to be careful.
But if you're looking to trade in a vehicle, this might be the time to cash in.

"If you're sitting there with a trade in, and you're thinking about getting a new car, this would be a great time to come get a free appraisal on you car," said Joe Askins of Auto Express. "In most instances, you'll find that you're going to find a deal because your trade-in is going to be a little more in demand."

It's not just used cars that are in demand.
Askins says new car sales have also been booming since his dealerships reopened in May.
