A suspect is in custody after leading Erie Police on a vehicle pursuit early Wednesday morning in the City of Erie that left an Erie Police vehicle damaged.
David Schubert, 26, faces a long list of charges including aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, fleeing from police and multiple traffic violations.
The pursuit began just after 3:30 a.m. when Erie Police observed the vehicle traveling south on Parade St. in the wrong lane towards northbound traffic, police said. When officers tried to pull over the vehicle, Schubert refused to stop and sped off.

The suspect drove over the hood of the vehicle and a guard rail.
The pursuit continued to the 1100 block of W. 38th St. when officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the suspect.
