Additionally, a brief power outage affected polling procedures on the east side of Erie early Tuesday evening. County officials say the power outage lasted approximately five minutes.

Generators were activated at affected locations and power was restored in most locations within minutes. No votes were affected.

Polling locations affected by the power outage included: Greater Calvary Baptist Church, Gannon Zurn, Holy Trinity Social Center, Booker T. Washington Center, McKinley Elementary School and Perry Elementary School.

3:52 p.m. - Mid-Afternoon Update from Washington Correspondent Matt Knoedler: Swing State Polls Tighten

Matt Knoedler is outside the White House Tuesday afternoon as officials get ready for results to come in.

A recent RealClearPolitics average of polls shows the presidential race has tightened dramatically in several swing states heading into Election Day.

Pennsylvania: Biden +1.6%
Ohio: Trump +1.0%
Florida: Biden +1.2%

The poll averages are between Oct. 28 and Nov. 1.

It is possible we may know which way the night will go early on as polls close in Georgia at 7 p.m. and Florida at 8 p.m. If President Trump wins those states - states he won in 2016 - that is a good indicator as to what may happen in this race. Conversely, if Joe Biden wins those states, it would be a good indication that the race could tip to him.

3:09 p.m. - Vernon Township Machine Issues Resolved

After several instances of a ballot machine clogging up Tuesday morning at the West End Elementary School polling place in Vernon Township, the issue appears to be resolved.

Poll worker Mary Sherrod says the issue stemmed from a sticker that was placed on the machine near where voters feed in their ballots.

At one point, the sticker became stuck to the back of a ballot that was fed into the machine. The sticker then got stuck on a roller inside the machine.

Sherrod says all affected ballots were recovered and counted. All the numbers match up and no further problems have been reported.

12:08 p.m. - Voters Report Ballot Machine Issues in Vernon Township

Several voters were expressing concerns that their votes weren't being counted correctly in Vernon Township, Crawford County.
