Nunzi's Restaurant Closes After Nearly 70 Years
Nunzi's Restaurant, an Erie favorite for almost 70 years, has closed its doors.
A post on the restaurant's Facebook page Monday afternoon confirmed the closure.
The Facebook statement gave no indication as to what caused the restaurant to close, but they said they are thankful to the nearly 70 years of memories the Erie community has provided for them.

It is with heavy heart's that we must announce that, Nunzis Restaurant has closed it's doors for the last time. We are deeply appreciative of the nearly 70 years of memories that the Erie community has given our family, and thankful for those who shared in our efforts to serve the city of Erie. Nunzis opened in 1953 and has remained in the Annunziata family for 3 generations. To our numerous patrons and employees, we say thank you. You have become a part of our family, we will miss you. Stay safe, stay healthy and Buon Salute!
