Gov. Wolf Approves $2.25 Million in Funding for Fairview Business Park Project
A distribution facility planned for the Fairview Business Park has received approval for a $2.25 million 15-year loan, Gov. Wolf announced Wednesday.
The funding is part of nearly $5.4 million in low-interest loans granted by the Wolf administration to businesses in Berks, Erie and Fayette counties through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA).
AnDI LLC, a real estate holding company through Enterprise Development Center of Erie County, Inc., was approved for a $2.25 million 15-year loan at a 0.75 percent reset rate to purchase 12.32 acres located in the Fairview Business Park in Fairview Township.
The company plans to construct a 95,500 sq. ft. distribution facility which will be leased to Allegheny Beverage Company under a 15-year lease agreement.
Roughly 10,000 square feet of the facility will be used as office space while the remaining 85,500 sq. ft. will be used as a warehouse.
The total cost of the project is $7,850,000.
State Rep. Ryan Bizzarro (D-Erie) says bringing tax dollars back to the region is important for community revitalization and economic recovery.
“This is a great opportunity for local businesses to expand and increase job opportunities,” Bizzarro said “This funding is coming at a time when our community needs it the most and will be a welcome part of economic recovery from this pandemic.”
Because the project is for a single-tenant building, the loan will be subject to the retention of Allegheny Beverage Company's 70 full-time employees from their current Erie location on W. Grandview Blvd. and the creation of 10 additional full-time employees within three years.
