CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY

The Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 24 new COVID-19 cases Friday. 

The total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began is 8,434. 

No new deaths were reported Friday. There have been 142 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. 

There are currently seven patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Chautauqua County. There are 152 active cases and 355 people in quarantine. There have been 8,140 total recoveries. 

The seven-day average positivity rate is 1.7 percent.

There have been 179,556 negative test results as of April 9.

ASHTABULA COUNTY

The Ohio Department of Health is reporting 31 new cases in Ashtabula County Friday, bringing the total number to 6,343. 

Of those, 5,940 are presumed recovered. An estimated 240 cases are active.  

To date, the county has seen 340 hospitalizations, which is an increase of one since Thursday.  

Two new deaths were reported Friday. There have been 163 total deaths since the pandemic began. 

Statewide, total confirmed cases increased by 1,946 Friday to 1,035,552, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

86 additional deaths were reported Friday. There have been 18,827 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

Hospitalizations increased by 119 in the last 24 hours to a total of 53,960. ICU admissions increased by 12 for a total of 7,518.
