About 150 children under the age of 12 from the U.S.-Mexico border crisis are now officially inside the Summit Township dormitories on Oliver Road.

The dorms have 265 beds already made up with clean new linens and bed spreads. HHS said they have a room full of clothing, pajamas and toiletries to make these kids comfortable while they are here.

The plane coming in from El Paso Texas landed at the Erie International Airport around 9:00 pm Tuesday evening, carrying about 150 children under the age of 12 coming from the U.S. Mexico border to stay here in Erie until they can be reunited with their families.

Businessman Glen Renaud owns the facility in Summit Township where the children will stay.

After arriving Tuesday evening, the children will see a doctor, a physiatrist, and be assigned a caseworker.

At the facility on Oliver Road, there are 15 kids to every one supervisor on site.
