The city of Erie will have a mini-makeover thanks to a new public art project.

Saturday morning Mayor Schember along with Community Muralist, Antonio Howard revealed the art work that will soon cover Erie’s two bandwagons.

Local artists have teamed up in hopes to revamp the city with colorful artwork aimed to artistically portray Erie’s unique identity.

Mayor Schember and Antonino Howard told Erie News Now that this is a unique and creative way for people to get involved and give back to the city.

"I think this is another positive impact you know. Erie arts and culture has done a lot of things in our community to bring art to areas that are just blank," said Joe Schember, Mayor of Erie.

"It will contribute to the growing beauty, color, and diversity in all of our celebrations," said Antonio Howard, Community Muralist.
