City of Meadville Considers Transferring Police Dispatch to County 9-1-1 Center
The City of Meadville has scheduled a town hall to gather feedback on possibly transferring of police dispatch services from the Meadville Police Department to the Crawford County 9-1-1 Center, the city announced Wednesday.
City Council will hold the town hall in-person on Wednesday, June 9, at 6 p.m. at the former City Building, 984 Water St. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Interim City Manager Gary Johnson will go over how police dispatch currently works and what to expect if the 9-1-1 center takes over operations.
Each attendee will be able to speak for up to three minutes. The town hall will be limited to 90 minutes.
