Two drivers were taken to the hospital after their vehicles collided head-on in Millcreek Township Tuesday evening.

It happened on Peninsula Dr. between Waldameer Park and the entrance to Presque Isle State Park around 7:40 p.m.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries.

The accident backed up traffic in and out of the peninsula.

The road reopened about an hour later.
