Unemployment Tax Refund; Future of Business is Chat; Vaccine Rollout Drives Travel Rebound

Unemployment Tax Refund
The American Rescue Plan passed in March waived taxes on the first $10,000 of unemployment benefits for those who earned less than $150,000 in 2020.
Since that was right in the middle of tax season, many had already paid the tax.
The IRS estimates 13 million people may be eligible for the adjustment.
Future of Business is Chat
80 percent of millennials want to do business on chat.
That's according to the Chat Commerce Trends report released by "Clickatell," a mobile communications company.
Their survey found 82 percent of millennials want to make purchases in chat apps.
Even more (88%) are using chat as their primary means of communicating with businesses.
Vaccine Rollout Drives Travel Rebound
Vaccine rollouts globally are driving increasing demand for summer vacations.
That's the conclusion of a travel trends research paper released by Tripadvisor.
The report says vaccinated travelers are more likely to stay longer and spend more on their trips than unvaccinated travelers.
In countries where the vaccination rollout has reached large swathes of the adult population, eager travelers are pushing the tourism recovery forward.
It's the opposite where vaccination rates are lagging.
