The department store opened with a modest 2,000 square foot building and now there is over 11,000 feet of retail space.

Edward Kraus opened the store in 1886 and it continues to be family owned.

The Kraus store is located on 810 Parade Street in the City of Erie. 

There is a reason so many customers go out of their way to visit the store. 

They provide service items from hammers to Communion dresses.

Their slogan is,"if we don't have it, you don't need it."

The store is open Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m.until 5:30 p.m. 

The new Saturday hours are 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
