As storms swept through Northwestern PA Wednesday night, they left a trail of destruction in their wake.

Perhaps no area was harder hit than Warren County, which saw falling trees take down power lines, leaving thousands of customers in the dark.

Like, western Erie County saw its fair share of damage.

Trees covered Avonia Road near Fairview, and crews spent about 45 minutes cleaning them up.

Fairview's assistant fire chief says about a half dozen trees fell throughout the region, and although no one was hurt, he says it highlights the need to drive carefully in a storm.
