Erie Man Wanted on Several Warrants Arrested in Geneva Area

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Cleveland arrested an Erie man wanted on several warrants in the Geneva, Ohio, area Friday morning.
Jonathan Szymczak, 45, was taken into custody at a motel at 10:30 a.m.
Szymczak was wanted by the Erie Police Department on a Nov. 2020 arrest warrant for aggravated indecent assault without consent, burglary, harassment and public drunkenness charges.
He is also wanted by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office on two a bench warrants. One from February 2021 is for failing to appear for arraignment on charges of intimidation of a witness/victim, trespassing and disorderly conduct. The other is from November 2020 for not appearing for a bench warrant review on charges of aggravated indecent assault without consent, simple assault, indecent assault of an unconscious person and harassment
