Crawford County
Pymatuning Reservoir
Anglers are catching Walleye north and south using crawler harnesses and stickbaits in 19 to 25 feet of water. Anglers are catching Muskellunge trolling from boats north of the causeway. Anglers are catching catfish and Yellow Perch throughout the reservoir. When fishing from the bridge of the causeway, be courteous and reel your lines in to allow boaters to pass. Reminder to all boaters that it is illegal to operate a pontoon boat at any speed while a person is riding outside the passenger-carrying area. This violation poses a serious safety concern and is one that will be addressed accordingly.
Shenango River
Anglers are catching panfish and catfish at the tailwaters. Anglers are catching Muskellunge using live bait. When kayaking or canoeing on the river, be sure to have an USCG approved PFD for every person onboard and a sound producing device. Launch Permits from either the DCNR or the PFBC are required for unpowered boats launching from the Weir below Pymatuning Dam.
Venango County
Allegheny River
Anglers are catching Smallmouth Bass and catfish in the river. Boating traffic has been light due to the heavy precipitation experienced since the beginning of August.
French Creek
Anglers are catching Walleye and Smallmouth Bass on top-water lures and spinnerbaits.
Oil Creek
The lower Delayed Harvest Artificial Lures/Keystone Select section will receive its fall stocking on 10/18/2021 (Monday). Meeting place and time is scheduled for the Rynd Farm Train Station at 9:30 AM.
Justus Lake
Anglers are catching Largemouth Bass and Rainbow Trout in 15 feet of water near the dam portion of the lake. Boaters are reminded that only manually powered, wind powered, and electric motor watercraft are permitted on Justus Lake. The use of internal combustion engines is PROHIBITED. Additionally, paddleboards are, by definition, a boat; users are required to have a serviceable and wearable PFD (lifejacket) of the appropriate size on board.
Kahle Lake
Anglers are catching Largemouth Bass and Bluegill.

Crawford County
Conneaut Lake
Anglers are catching nice Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass throughout the lake when the recreational boat traffic is low during the week. The recreational boat traffic will subside after the upcoming Labor Day weekend!
Woodcock Creek Lake
Anglers are catching Smallmouth Bass, panfish, and Walleye. The lake is scheduled for stocking this fall. Reminder all people on a boat less than 16 feet and all canoes and kayaks must always wear a wearable personal floatation device on this lake.
Woodcock Creek
Anglers are catching Muskellunge, Walleye, and panfish below the dam.
French Creek
Anglers are catching Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and panfish. Reminder to boaters using the PFBC access to the creek, boats must be properly registered before using PFBC accesses. Also be sure to have all required safety equipment on board prior to the start of your float.
Canadohta Lake
Anglers are catching Muskellunge, Walleye, and panfish.
Sugar Lake
Anglers are catching panfish, Chain Pickerel, Bowfin, and Largemouth Bass.
Tamarack Lake
The lake is open to hunters, boaters, and anglers. Remember to have all required safety equipment and proper registration if going out on a boat, canoe, or kayak. Anglers remember the lake is still listed as catch and release only. Anglers are catching bass and panfish from the docks.
Mercer County
Lake Wilhelm
Anglers are catching some Walleye, Largemouth Bass, and crappie in deeper waters using a variety of lures.
French Creek
Anglers are catching Walleye and Smallmouth Bass throughout French Creek.
