Isley Gooden joined Erie News Now in June 2021 as a multimedia journalist.

She is an Illinois native who grew up in the Chicagoland area and in rural southern Illinois.

While attending high school in Illinois, Isley worked as the Panther Beat afternoon anchor, producer and reporter. After graduation, she studied American Sign Language for one year before transferring to Chicago State University where she majored in Communication Media Arts. That's where she had the opportunity to serve as a cohost on a radio station and work as a sports reporter.

Isley worked on the CNBC sensation American Greed season 13 “The College Admission Scandal” while interning with journalist Bill Kurtis at Kurtis Productions.

She is a former Girl Scout and member of the Chicago and Cleveland NABJ.

Isley enjoys thrifting, reading and binge watching anything on Netflix.
