You can find art in all forms all over Glass Growers Gallery from handmade ornaments, jewelry and paintings to night lights, dish towels and stuffed animals.

The business showcases and sells the work of more than 50 local and regional artists.

Art lover Emily Ernes bought the business one year ago.

"I love being in this environment surrounded by creative people," said Ernes. "[I] just really appreciate professionals doing their craft and just the amazing results that come through our door all the time."

Joyce Perowicz, a longtime painter, has brought her work to Glass Growers for decades.

"I think I've been participating artist here for over 40 years," said Perowicz.

It's a special spot to showcase livelihood.

"I've been in group shows here and also had solo shows here," said Perowicz.

Every artist has a different style, leading to the flavor the business brings to downtown.

Deborah Vahanian started the business back in 1974.

For more than 20 years, Glass Growers Gallery has been located next to the Erie Art Museum. It is the third location for the Erie business.

It will celebrate 47 years in business Dec. 4.
