The annual Hometown Holiday Lights competition has come to an end, and the winners have been announced.

The top prize of $1,000 will go to Katie and Thomas Batten at "Vibrance on Valencia" located at 42-68 Valencia Ct. in Erie.

"Every year we have to lay out the cabling, we run patch cords from the controllers to each one of the lights, and then we hook it into our computer system and run a test and it takes probably about two weeks, said Tom. "Each song is programed through the computer and that runs the show," added Katie.

The house display includes music that is synchronized to the brilliant light show.

"We really enjoy seeing all the kids enjoy this kind of makes it all worth it," Katie said.

"You can sit out here and hear and hear them out here with the music cranked and they're outside dancing and a lot of kids are enjoying it and we've gotten texts from them. Not happy to leave" said Tom.

A $500 second prize goes to Wayne Huya of Corry with his masterpiece called "Imaginary Station" on 110 Ridge St.
