Erie County Historical Society - Hagen History Center Seeking New Executive Director

If you are a history buff, this could be the perfect career opportunity for you. The Erie County Historical Society – Hagen History Center is currently seeking a new executive director.
The organization has formed a Transition Committee to conduct the national search.
Committee chairman Bruce Kern, President, C.A. Curtze Co, said the group is optimistic that the search will result in many qualified candidates.
“We are confident we will find the perfect leader to continue the progress the Hagen History Center has made with new buildings, national exhibits and increased staff,” said Kern. “This is an exciting time. We already have national recognition, thanks to Tom Hagen’s generosity and the addition of the Frank Lloyd Wright San Francisco office. This candidate search enhances the opportunity to share Erie’s revitalization and our history.”
Kern is a former Hagen History Center board member and descendant of the Curtze family that is associated with the Watson-Curtze Mansion.
Hagen History Center’s current interim executive director is Mark Squeglia. The Erie native spent most of his career working in the areas of information technology and marketing for Hammermill Paper, Erie Insurance and General Electric. He served as vice president of the board of directors for the Hagen History Center but took a leave of absence to lead the nonprofit.
