Local Churches held a Ukraine collection drive
On Wednesday in Erie --- people turned out in droves to donate to a collection drive for the people of Ukraine.
Members of the Erie First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church and Grace Slavic Pentecostal Church organized the effort to help those impacted from the war in Ukraine.
"A lot of people have been displaced, when a war starts you don't have a lot of time to pack", said Tim Bogdanets a church member helping to collect.
Tim's parents immigrated to the US from Ukraine back in 1998 and still have family there being affected by this war.
At the drive many people brought hundreds of medical supplies, clothing and food to send overseas.
The next donation drive will be Saturday from 3-6pm at 820 w 20th street here in Erie.
