Police briefly shut down part of Presque Isle State Park after a report of a man with a gun Friday evening.

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is investigating.

Presque Isle State Park Police called in Millcreek Township Police and Pennsylvania State Police to assist at the scene.

They closed the area near Beach 10 as officers dealt with a man who was in a vehicle with a gun.

They cleared the scene around 7:30 p.m.

Nobody was hurt, and there is no indication there was a threat to the public.
