A local Infectious disease doctor approves of the 2nd booster for older adults passed by the FDA

The FDA gave its approval for a second Covid booster shot, for some people.

Today's ruling means anyone over 50 years old, and compromised individuals, like organ recipients, who are 12 or older can get a second booster shot.

Infectious disease physician and Covid medical adviser of The Erie County Dept. of Health Howard Nodworny says it's a step in the right direction.

"Because older people are at much higher risk of dying. The CDC and FDA approved this dos, "says Howard Nadworny.

As mask mandates begin to lift he says people should get boosted if going without one.
