Crawford County will be getting some time in the spotlight of New York City's Times Square this spring and summer, according to Bull Moose Marketing.

A video promoting tourism will appear on a billboard there as a part of a new campaign by the Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The 15-second ad promotes the county’s natural, cultural and historical amenities. It features people kayaking, biking and camping in the county along with shots of locally-produced wine, events such as the Thurston Balloon Classic and amenities like the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad.

The ad is part of the rollout of the Bureau’s new county-wide branding initiative. It uses the tagline “There’s A Story Here” to attract visitors through stories that show best Crawford County has to offer in a personalized, authentic manner. A new website and mobile app will also be launched.

The billboard ad runs on a loop every 15 minutes and will be shown for 8 weeks. It encourages viewers to visit the Bureau’s website and follow the hashtag #TheresAStoryHere on social media.

The ad is expected to reach an estimated 1.8 million people weekly.

Bull Moose Marketing in Meadville and Continuum Creative Media in Titusville collaborated on the campaign.
