Perry Square Alliance is marking its 13th anniversary this year with a big fundraiser.

The alliance works to revitalize, beautify and maintain Perry Square and the Perry Square District.

That includes planting trees, planting and maintaining flower beds, hanging floral baskets along State St. and maintaining flower beds around City Hall.

It also chipped in $30,000 for Downtown D'lights and the big Christmas tree.

Perry Square Alliance will host Savor the Summer on July 9. It includes dinner and dancing under a big tent in Perry Square to raise funds for their ongoing work.

"Savor the Summer [is] July 9 from 6-10 [p.m.] in west Perry Square under 150 feet of four connected tents," said Gloria Knox, founding partner of the Perry Square Alliance. "Four wonderful restaurants - Erie Club, Molly Branigan's, Oliver's and Pineapple Eddie - are providing four-courses meals. There's dancing with music with the Breeze Band. What's not to like about this wonderful event."

You can sign up for the dinner on the Perry Square Alliance website. It's $125 per person, and there are a few spots left.
