A federal grand jury indicted a Wattsburg man for child pornography, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Thursday.

Troy Anderson, 41, was named in the two-count indictment for violating federal laws relating to the sexual exploitation of children.

Anderson received photos showing prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct in Feb. 2021, according to the indictment.

He also possessed and accessed with intent to view computer images and videos showing prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct from June 2018 to February 2021.

Anderson was previously convicted of receiving child sexual abuse material and was sentenced to 71 months in jail and five years supervised release in August 2008.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 60 years in prison, a fine of $500,000, or both, based on the seriousness of the offenses and any prior criminal history.
