Work on the five-leg roundabout in Summit Township, Erie County, will close part of Oliver Rd. starting July 5, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Tuesday.

Oliver Rd. will be closed at the intersection with Hamot Rd. and Flower Rd.

A five-mile detour will be posted using Route 19 (Peach Street), Hershey Rd. and Hamot Rd. for approximately 11 days, weather-permitting.

Construction of the roundabout is being done in seven phases.

More short-term detours and traffic pattern shifts will be needed to complete the project.
