For the next six months, Lilly Broadcasting will honor local Vietnam Veterans and their families.

From the start of 1966, until the spring of 1968, Erie's Joe Orengia served in the U.S. Army.

He did a tour of duty in Vietnam lasted ten months, but produced a lifetime of memories.

He told Erie News Now, "I didn't know anything about the protesting and when I came home, it was a different world that I left. I came home to a Country protesting me."

He visited The Wall That Heals in May and had a difficult time reading the names of people he knew.

"I was so glad the Wall was here, the motorcycle escort went right by my business on West 26th Street, I was waiving my flag in front of Joe's Gym. That Wall is going to give a lot guys some hope, it's actually giving me more hope right now."

Vietnam Reflections runs every Thursday on Erie News Now at 6:00 and 11:00 p.m.
