Waldameer's Ravine Flyer II received some international attention Tuesday.

The amusement park hosted a group of roller coaster enthusiasts from Germany called Coaster Friends. They travel the U.S. to ride coasters.

The 40 riders on Tuesday were given exclusive access to ride the Ravine Flyer one hour before the park opened.

"The group was founded about 70 years ago," said Andy Korb, coaster enthusiast. "It is now the largest club in Germany with 1,000 members. I've been to 510 different theme parks and about 2000 different roller coasters in the world."

The group began their two week trip in Chicago and came to visit Erie after spending the previous afternoon at Cedar Point.
