It's been a slow nationwide rollout of the monkeypox vaccine, but Erie got another batch of vaccines from the state Monday.

Central Outreach on State St. received the vaccine. They've had one positive case so far and have tested several others for the virus. Some are still waiting on results.

That first confirmed case was tested just three weeks ago. The clinic received a small shipment of doses because the demand is not high enough right now to warrant a bigger shipment.

Central Outreach can vaccinate anyone who qualifies. To qualify, you must have been exposed to the virus, have a sexual partner who was diagnosed with Monkeypox, or be a man who has sex with other men.

The Erie County Health Department also has vaccines available.
