A $1.4 million resurfacing project on Buxton Rd. in Venango County is scheduled to start later this month, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Tuesday.

Crews will pave 6.10 miles from the intersection with Route 8 in Cherrytree Township to Route 428 in Plum Township.

Work will include milling and paving, along with pavement marking updates.

Construction is expected to start Aug. 15, weather-permitting, and is expected to be completed by late September 2022.

Drivers may see lane restrictions with traffic controlled by flaggers.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., of State College, was awarded the $1,382,382 contract, which will be paid using state funds.
