Erie's 2022 Tall Ships Festival wrapped up today with clear skies and high temperatures.

The festival brought in people from not only Erie County, but across the country.

"Their experiences while they're sailing is really interesting, as well as the history of these ships," said Theresa Shipley, who was visiting the festival from St. Louis, MO with her husband, Dan.

"It's really amazing to know that we are being able to host people from other cities," said David Goldman, Captain of the Brig Niagara. "Especially landlocked cities that don't have a chance to see the Tall Ships, and to see the City of Erie, and be able to experience what we have here."

Event organizers say they are already planning ahead for the next Tall Ships Festival, which will take place in 2025.
