Presque Isle State Park to Host Two Large Events in the Same Weekend

Presque Isle State park will be hosting two of its larger annual events during the weekend of September 10 and 11.
The annual Barber Beast on the Bay will be held on Saturday, September 10 at 8:30 a.m. The race will begin at Beach 11 and conclude at Waldameer Park.
The park said, roadway obstructions will be minimal, and Beach 8 will remain open for swimming.
The Erie Marathon will be held the next day, and the park will be closed to vehicular traffic that morning from 5 a.m. - 11 a.m.
However, the Karl-Boyes Multi-purpose Trail will be open to visitors, and Beach 8 will open for swimming at noon.
Presque Isle State Park Rangers will be available to park visitors, at the park entrance, for the duration of these events.
